Account and Data Deletion
Wanderland, provided by SmartNews, Inc., lets you request deletion of your Wanderland account and the data associated with it either in the app or on the web.
Delete your account in the app
- Sign in to Wanderland.
- On the map screen, tap the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings, then select Account.
- Select Delete account and review the data that will be deleted.
- Confirm deletion on the confirmation screen. The deletion process starts when you confirm.
You will be signed out when deletion is complete. A deleted account and its data cannot be restored.
Request deletion on the web
If you cannot use the app, submit a request using the contact form below. Select “Get Support (English),” then choose “Wanderland（ワンダーランド）” under the inquiry type. Enter “Wanderland account deletion” as the subject, and include the email address or username used with Wanderland in the description. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. Do not enter your password.
Requests submitted through the web form are reviewed and processed manually. Processing time varies depending on the verification required and the circumstances.
Data that will be deleted
- Your sign-in account
- Your profile and interest settings
- Collection saves, reports, and XP
- Photos and videos you posted, including content you shared
- Notifications and device tokens
- Action logs linked to your account
Deletion timing
Service data such as your account, profile, posts, saved content, and notification information is deleted when the deletion process completes. Action logs linked to your account are deleted within two hours of your request.
